Use of the converters

IndicConverter provides browser-based text conversion utilities. You may use them for lawful conversion work, but you remain responsible for reviewing the result before using it in an important document or workflow.

Supported profiles matter

Legacy font families can contain multiple versions and locally modified variants. A converter labelled for a specific profile, such as Kruti Dev 010, Shusha v1.0 or AnupamaMedium v1.00, should not be assumed compatible with every font carrying a similar family name. Supported scope and known limitations are documented on the Accuracy page.

No blanket accuracy guarantee

We publish measured test results for supported profiles, but no conversion tool can guarantee that an unknown or modified legacy document matches the profile it claims to use. Important official, legal, academic, publishing or archival output should be proofread against the source.

Your content

You retain responsibility for the text you choose to process and for having permission to use it. Do not use the service in a way that violates applicable rights or law.

Independent service

IndicConverter is an independent utility and is not affiliated with a government agency, examination authority, font vendor, standards body or software publisher unless a page explicitly states otherwise.

Third-party references

Some converter behavior is researched from documented or permissively licensed mapping resources and public reference implementations. Their inclusion as technical references does not imply endorsement of IndicConverter by those projects or organisations.

Availability and changes

Converters, supported profiles and site features may be corrected, improved or removed when better compatibility information becomes available.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, universal font compatibility or fitness for a particular purpose.
